Recently, buy tiffany necklaces, very rare 1 BC – 2 AD Gold artifacts, earrings, symbolically named as "The Pleiades Star Crescent Necklace & Amulet" became internationally available for acquisition on KingsNecklace.com.

What is unusually rare about these artifacts is that the ancient pair represents the most Holy Symbol of ISLAM – The Crescent Moon and The Star and The Pleiades Star Cluster.

Although The Crescent and Star symbol is much older than Islam itself, the appearance of it on ancient gold jewelry is very rare. The Necklace and Amulet is one of the earliest representations of this religious symbol in the form of ancient gold artwork with no analog known to exist.

This artifacts’ scientific name, rings, "The Persian-Sarmatian Tribal King’s Ritual Gold Pectoral Necklace & Amulet",buy tiffany Pendants, provides the insight into the great historical and archaeological importance of these two items.

Discoveries do not end here. The Necklace by itself is attributed to "The Pleiades Star Cluster", a group of Seven Stars in the constellation of Taurus that were well known celestial and mythological sights throughout antiquity.

Scientists also were able to discover an ancient technology that was hidden within the Necklace that no one knew existed at that time.

The complete attribution is available on KingNecklace.com where these artifacts are disclosed in their entirety, which is something the world community rarely gets to see outside museum walls.

The universe of ancient art and antiquity is a field of study and interest that has for many generations elicited huge excitement and a thrill for adventurers, treasure hunters and collectors alike.

Most great museums on the local, national and international levels all gather these unique and priceless treasures from the ancient world. This spans many civilizations that have graced our colorful common human history from all corners of the Earth.

Noted jewelry designer Carolyn Pollack has created a special turquoise necklace to donate to the QVC Presents Super Saturday LiveSM charity sale event in the Hamptons on July 31.

Established in 1998 to benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF), Super Saturday has been described as a one-of-a-kind "designer garage sale" and features items donated by over 200 top designers. Super Saturday will be broadcast live on QVC(R),Beads necklace, where viewers will have the opportunity to purchase items at half the manufacturer’s suggested retail price. Net proceeds from the items purchased by the QVC audience will be donated to OCRF.

"This necklace is a bold statement piece that will get people talking about the good work OCRF is doing to improve the lives of countless women suffering from this disease," Pollack said.

Handcrafted of sterling silver and turquoise in a stunning style that is fashion forward yet retains traditional design elements, the necklace was designed by Carolyn and produced by her Albuquerque based company Relios specifically for the event. Pollack’s donation of 440 necklaces to the Super Saturday sale has a value of over $100,tiffany bracelets on sale,000. The necklace will be available in two lengths, 14" or 16", and comes with a removable extender chain.

"As collectors of my jewelry know, I’ve long loved turquoise, so it was a real treat for me to design something specifically for this event, buy tiffany key rings," Pollack said. "I was thrilled when Kelly (Ripa) chose to wear the necklace, and I hope it helps to bring attention to a disease that is so difficult to detect."

Pollack chose to design the necklace with blue and green turquoise gemstones as a tribute to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, which has a teal and turquoise logo. The necklace appears in a series of OCRF’s Public Service Announcements promoting Super Saturday. Turquoise also has been declared Pantone’s Color of the Year.

"The necklace is a celebration of the irresistible beauty of turquoise in all its natural shades from teal blue to green," Pollack said. "Each piece has its own personality and is the ultimate expression of casual elegance."

Pollack’s donation to last year’s fundraiser, worn by actress Haylie Duff, was an immediate sellout.

"I believe that if we band together we can find a cure for this disease, which affects the lives of so many women," Pollack said. "The Super Saturday event gives us all an opportunity to contribute to a worthwhile organization and help save lives."

OCRF is dedicated to advancing research, raising awareness and finding a cure for ovarian cancer. In 2009, the Super Saturday event raised $3.4 million for OCRF.

Carolyn Pollack has a longstanding commitment to the quest to find a cure for cancer. In addition to donating items to the QVC Super Saturday event, she has participated in the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Breast Cancer 3-Day in Philadelphia for the past six years. Carolyn is a frequent guest on premier shopping network QVC. Sincerely, tiffany rings sale, Carolyn Pollack is one of QVC’s top designer sterling jewelry brands with over a quarter million collectors.

About Carolyn Pollack Jewelry

Sincerely, Carolyn Pollack jewelry features expressive silhouettes and distinctive gemstone color combinations that embody designer Carolyn Pollack’s own lifestyle and fashion sense.
The singer is in Detroit along with the nine other American Idol finalists through Thursday.

BCP Imports LLC, maker of the Silly Bandz bracelets that have become an accessory de rigueur on elementary school playgrounds, is the latest small company looking for a way to extend its appeal with pint-sized customers.

Retailers selling the packs of 24 bracelets for $5 to $7 a pop cannot keep them in stock, and the company has had to hire more than 350 employees since October, according to founder Robert Croak. Silly Bandz have generated more than $100 million in annual sales, he says.

But keeping Silly Bandz on kids’ wrists–and radar screens–won’t be easy, some say.

Gene Murtha, the former head of Main Street Toy Co. in Simsbury, Conn., sees similarities between Silly Bandz and Slap Wraps, tiffany bracelets for sale, the fad his old company developed.

Slap Wraps were long pieces of fabric-covered metal that coiled into a bracelet when slapped on the wrist. Like Silly Bandz, they were both a fashion accessory and a bartering chip on the playground. The craze ballooned in 1990 but burst the next year.

Mr. Murtha, who blames the bust in part on a falling out between the company’s partners, says he should have capitalized on the fad by branching out.

"A smart business plan is to take a product and develop it into a brand," says Mr. Murtha, shop for tiffany money clips, now chief executive of the teddy bear company Gund, a division of Enesco LLC in Itasca, Ill. He recommends that Silly Bandz make more "silly" things to avoid being a one-hit wonder.

Mr. Croak is already moving in that direction, by selling Silly Necklaces and Silly Buttons.

Still, through the decades plenty of toys developed by small companies–think Pet Rocks and Pogs–became all the rage but failed to maintain long-term appeal. Kids, who determine the fate of such products, can be fickle consumers.

"In six months, a child’s view of life has changed dramatically," says Wendy Liebmann, chief executive of WSL Marketing Inc. in New York, which conducts research on retail strategy. "For a child to be absorbed in something, that means that you need to constantly reinvent it."

Some companies have managed to parlay a passing trend into a sustainable hit through licensing opportunities. After creating the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book in the late ’80s, Mirage Studios Inc. managed to ink enough deals to turn its half-shelled heroes into action figures, tiffany cuffLink, television stars, and characters on towels and bedspreads. The Turtles even experienced a relatively recent comeback following the "TMNT" movie three years ago.

Others have tried marketing ploys. Ty Inc., a once-small firm that experienced explosive growth with its flagship product, Beanie Babies, kept the consumer frenzy going by promoting its creatures as must-have limited editions.

"Part of the appeal is if it’s hard to find," says Tim Walsh, a toy historian in Sarasota, Fla.

Some companies try follow-up toys. In the late ’90s, Tiger Electronics, a midsize company in Vernon Hills, Ill., enjoyed mercurial success with Giga Pets–animated, electronic characters in a hand-held device that kids could control. According to Marc Rosenberg, tiffany bracelets clearance, who was head of marketing for the firm at the time, as the toy’s popularity died out, the company introduced a new kind of pet: Wide-eyed creatures called Furbies that could communicate with each other. Hasbro Inc. launched Furby in 1998, shortly after acquiring Tiger Electronics.

Silly Bandz’s Mr. Croak says his small company is adapting to consumers’ transient tastes by taking suggestions from Twitter and the Silly Bandz’s online fan page–options entrepreneurs of the past didn’t have. Most of the colors and designs being developed today, he says, are generated from the hundreds of suggestions he receives each week.

He is also trying to secure licensing deals to spread the craze into other markets, such as school supplies, board games and smartphone applications. And taking a page from Beanie Babies, Silly Bandz’s Spring pack of butterflies, thanksgiving bangles, bees and tulips, has been retired, and won’t return with the same shapes.

Still, there are skeptics who think the Silly Bandz brand isn’t strong enough to last. In order to draw a new wave of children, a product needs to change the way they play, says Gary Cross, professor of modern history at Penn State who specializes in consumption, childhood and leisure issues.

"It’s not clear in what way [Silly Bandz] are transformative," he says. "Fads that are built around schools and peer association have been around a long, long time and those things have come and gone."

Donald Ray Ramsey, who was convicted of shooting his ex-wife/stepmother, had his home confinement revoked and was sent to prison after he ditched his ankle bracelet to go to the All Good festival.

Ramsey, buy tiffany earrings, 59,tiffany cuff Links for sale, appeared before Monongalia County Circuit Court Judge Russell Clawges on Monday.

On July 8, Ramsey called the home confinement office to say he was going to the emergency room. On July 12,tiffany sets, Nana Sue Ramsey, buy tiffany money clips, Donald’s exwife/stepmother, called the office to say he was on the run. Ramsey was apprehended at a bar in Marion County and told officers he had gone to the All Good festival.

Clawges said Ramsey will not receive credit for time served while on home confinement.

"If Mr. Ramsey is in good enough health to go to the All Good Festival and partying in Marion County … he’s in good enough health to be in the correctional system," Clawges said.

Ramsey was on home confinement for health issues after being sentenced to four to 18 years in prison. He was convicted of attempted murder for shooting Nana Sue Ramsey and of attempted wanton endangerment.

Nana Sue Ramsey and Donald had been married for more than 20 years when they divorced. Several years later, she married Donald’s father.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Cindy Scott said prosecutors filed the motion to revoke home confinement on July 12, the day Ramsey was caught. Scott said she agreed with Clawges’ assessment that if Ramsey can travel to Marion and Preston counties he should be well enough to go to prison.

After the hearing, shop for tiffany earrings, Rollins said he had "no comment really" when asked about what transpired.

For all the kids who live to have Silly Bandz dangling from their wrists — and for all the grown-ups befuddled by the rubber-band bracelets that have taken over pop culture — here’s the news: It’s only the beginning.,tiffany Pendant

Silly Bandz and its gaggle of copycat rivals aren’t taking a summer vacation.

Instead, they’re spending the summer rolling out related products — such as Silly Necklaces that can hold gobs of the bands and Silly Bandz that change colors in the sun. That’s even as Silly Bandz and competitors Logo Bandz, Crazy Bands and Zanybandz prepare for a back-to-school onslaught.

No one is more blown away by Silly Bandz mania than Robert Croak, 47, the Silly Bandz man and CEO of BCP Imports. He talked and hawked with USA TODAY in his first substantive interview about the serious business of Silly Bandz.

"My dream was to be a pro baseball player — or an inventor," says the quasi-punk-haired,tiffany key rings for sale, bespectacled Croak, who thrives on acting zany — much like a Curious George with business savvy.

He says his clearest memory of his childhood here is taking apart toasters to see how they work. Now, he’s taking apart Toyland with a $4.95-a-24-pack fad some retail experts say will leave Beanie Babies and Webkinz in the kid-trend dust. Bandz and imitators are estimated to now be a $200 million-a-year business — with $1 billion a future possibility.

Silly Bandz are basically rubber bands that hold shapes such as a cat, fairy princess or — coming soon — SpongeBob. Annual sales of the Silly Bandz brand alone are north of $100 million, Croak says, vs. $10,000 just two years ago.

"All of this came from one guy, tiffany necklaces for sale, not some major corporation with huge teams of designers," says Croak, who has three designers on staff. "It’s me — and my toys."

His toys have become an unlikely national hit, and for the past year, Croak, a bachelor, has worked 14- to 17-hour days — seven days a week. "Would you close if you were me?"

So immersed is Croak in his business that he recently sold his home to move into a loft he carved out above his company headquarters, which take up the better part of two city blocks. "I have to put the company first right now — and put my own life on hold."

It’s no more just kids. Some college bookstores are stocking them for back-to-school.

Even celebs have become Silly Bandz trend-feeders. Sarah Jessica Parker and Mary-Kate Olsen have been seen in them (and, no, they weren’t paid to be). There’s talk a Justin Bieber-endorsed Silly Bandz is coming, but the company won’t confirm.

There has been some pushback on the fad that’s caught up boys and girls alike: Silly Bandz have been banned at some schools, summer camps and pools. But that only adds to their cachet with kids, who don’t really give a hoot if the bands occasionally distract them from lessons, challenge blood circulation or clog pool filters.

What matters is they’re cool.

"This is the American Dream," says Croak, tiffany on sale, who has snubbed a $10 million offer for the brand — which he says isn’t for sale. "This is way too much fun for me to take the money and run."

‘Keeping the fad alive’

His dream has made him a multimillionaire, though he’s hardly had the time to spend any money. He pulls a thick wad of cash out of one pocket and smiles as he displays the Silly Bandz he uses as a money clip. His favorite outfit is a pair of tattered jeans and T-shirt with a smiling face that simply says "Mr. Happy." Is he ever.

One year ago, the company had eight phone lines. Today, it has 48. One year ago, the company had 20 U.S. employees. Today, it has 400 in the USA and 3,000 in China, discount tiffany Pendants, where Silly Bandz are made. One year ago, it was selling 100 packs of Silly Bandz a week. Today, it’s selling 1 million.

Other marketers are trying to ride the wave: Quiznos has a Silly Bandz kids meal on tap. Toys R Us has a big Silly Bandz back-to-school promo in the works. Marvel Comics and Nickelodeon recently signed licensing deals. Silly Bandz books and board games are being considered. There’s discussion of a Silly Bandz watch. And there are plans for Silly Bandz sales globally.

"All the stars have lined up for this one," says Paul Kurnit, founder of the youth marketing consultants KidShop. "The big question is: When will it drop dead?"

It may be sooner than Silly Bandz plans, says Jim Silver, editor-in-chief of TimetoPlayMag.com, a toy-rating website. "When you have something that is available everywhere, the problem is keeping the fad alive."

While versions of the rubber bands have been sold for years, Croak’s novelty company, which also makes custom silicone bracelets similar to the popular LiveStrong bracelet, started to make Silly Bandz in 2008. Croak had seen animal bands made by a Japanese designer at a trade show. He got lucky. His caught on.

Croak insists that Silly Bandz isn’t a fad but a trend that he believes has a solid five years to go. He points out that it still hasn’t hit much of the West Coast, let alone the rest of the world. "It will," he says.

As he takes a reporter on a tour of the ramshackle headquarters, Croak rattles off the names — even nicknames — of workers. The frenetic activity to move Silly Bandz out the door is non-stop. A UPS truck is loaded by big-shouldered employees with hundreds of cases destined for retailers nationwide. Some order takers multitask, slapping price stickers on Silly Bandz boxes headed for retailers as they work the phones.

From his own cluttered office, Croak doubles as a highly paid security guard, constantly monitoring a screen that displays 32 video camera views of the company’s interior and exterior.

It’s not that he doesn’t trust his workers. But when he travels, which is often, he likes being able to see what’s going on in all corners of his company from his computer.

The company’s never bought an ad. All Silly Bandz marketing has been word-of-mouth and viral via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Silly Bandz-infatuated families have sometimes shown up at the company’s front door, pleading for a factory tour. But the factory is in China. The headquarters is a design hub, warehouse and shipping center. Sympathetic employees sometimes take visitors on a quick tour and send them off with a pack of the latest bands.

Instead of importing Silly Bandz by boat, Croak pays about five times the price to fly them in. That cuts normal delivery time from the factory to four days from four weeks. He’s jetting in hundreds of cases a day, each containing 576 retail packs.

The numbers help feed the trading frenzy. Kids love to trade, and that, says Yale child psychologist Dorothy Singer, is a key to Silly Bandz’s success. "Trading is part of the friendship pattern," she says. By wearing them, she says, kids who may think they are acting as individuals are making themselves fit into the group.

Traveling fast

Silly Bandz have quickly gone from schoolyards to summer camps. Parents dash into Auntie Penny’s gift shop in Chappaqua, N.Y., to load up on Silly Bandz for surprise gifts in their kids’ camp trunks, says Eve Spence, who owns the store.

On Croak’s wrist is his favorite Silly Bandz, the crown. "It leads to thoughts of being on top of the food chain."

Toys R Us is convinced the Silly Bandz craze is for real. It’s selling "tens of thousands" of packs daily, says Karen Dodge, chief merchandizing officer. "This could be the hottest toy of the year."

And 7-Eleven, which sells several rival brands, figures it’s sold 1.2 million packs in fewer than five months, and they aren’t even in half its stores yet. "I’m not sure I’ve seen anything of this magnitude," says Kris Nelson, senior director of non-foods.

Not that Croak’s done everything right.

Croak concedes that Silly Bandz was slow to get into licensing. Rival Forever Collectibles beat him to that and has Major League Baseball and Disney under contract, with bands sporting shapes from New York Yankees logos to Tinker Bell.

"The only thing that sells faster than this stuff is milk," says Michael Lewis, CEO of Forever Collectibles.

By year’s end, Disney expects to sell 20 million licensed packs, says Stephen Teglas of Disney consumer products. Disney sells Toy Story, Mickey Mouse and even Hannah Montana bands.

‘A safety concern’

Silly Bandz’s back-to-school plans include Silly Pails — $19.95 lunch boxes stuffed with 72 Silly Bandz bracelets. While Croak declined to reveal the brand’s holiday plans, they may include scented Silly Bandz. And he’s talking to Macy’s about Silly Bandz boutiques.

So far, kids can’t get enough. Allison Kuster, 12, of Mansfield, Texas, is very particular about which Silly Bandz she wears with which swimsuit. When she recently went with friends to the water park, she accessorized her blue swimsuit with a green mermaid Silly Bandz.

Her mom, Cindy, thinks the fad fits the economy: "What I like about them is the price."

But not everyone is on the Bandz-wagon.

Leslie Abrew, principal at Lowell Elementary School in Teaneck, N.J., sent a letter to parents banning them. "These novelty items have created a disturbance during the school day and have become a safety concern," his letter read, noting some students put them around their necks, and some used them as projectiles.

Doris Day, a Troy, N.Y., grandmother, refused to buy them for her 5-year-old twin grandkids despite their pleas. "They are a useless and mindless waste of time and money."

Croak doesn’t buy that. He’s rolling his profits back into the company to make yet more Silly Bandz. "It’s all surreal to me," he says, sitting back in his chair and gazing past a flashing computer screen filled with 300 messages awaiting his response. "I’m the luckiest guy in the world."

Even, he says, after the craze snaps.

Memphis police want to stop gun-toting teens in their tracks — literally.

Police Director Larry Godwin is teaming with Memphis Mayor A C Wharton to develop a pilot program that monitors the steps of troubled teens through advanced electronic tracking bracelets.

It’s part of a $2 million, federally funded program to curtail crime using tracking equipment that can pinpoint a detainee’s exact location.

More than 150 minors were arrested with guns last year, police said. And the arrests haven’t slowed this year.

"Many of these youngsters believe, because of their environment and what they see on TV, the way you solve a disagreement is to get a gun," Wharton said.

Godwin said too often minors caught with guns are allowed to return home on probation without serving time in lockup. As a result, he said they don’t fear the system.

"Right now they put them on probation and tell them: ‘Don’t come back down here,’" Godwin said. "How can they learn the consequences of their actions?"

Overall crime by minors is on the decline, but violent offenses remain relatively steady, said Larry Scroggs, chief administrative officer of Shelby County Juvenile Court.

Scroggs said he shares Godwin’s concerns, but there isn’t enough room to detain them all before or after trial. So, in turn, many end up on probation — until they commit a gun crime that leaves someone hurt or dead.

Godwin said the system shouldn’t wait for the violence to escalate. He said last week’s arrest of a 16-year-old charged with a fatal shooting illustrates the need to attack teen violence earlier.

He and the mayor are teaming to develop a proposed pilot program, "Cease-Fire for Juveniles."

The initiative, modeled partly after a similar program in St. Louis, allows police and court officials to supervise the teen for one year through an electronic ankle bracelet.

"This would focus on those who should be watched," Wharton said. "This is not about locking a lot of kids up. Hopefully we can intervene before they use these firearms."

Unlike some other tracking devices, the bracelets used in this program would keep a record of everywhere the detainee goes, transmitting the data in real time to a police department server, Memphis police Col. Jim Harvey said.

Using special software, police can build a virtual fence around a teen offender’s home, with the computer monitoring if the teen is staying put during curfew. If the teen leaves his yard, a police computer will automatically generate an alert.

With sex offenders, police can place a virtual fence around area schools and daycare centers. If the offender crosses onto forbidden turf, police will get an alert.

Harvey, who is overseeing the logistics of the monitoring, said this program has the potential to drastically reduce the city’s crime rate.

"If there’s a burglar walking down the street and he sees a police officer, he’s not going to break into that house or business," Harvey said.

"Now, the way I look at it,Charm bracelet, he’s going to be wearing a police officer on his leg."

In the program’s first year, thanksgiving day 2010, the department plans to track up to 1,000 juvenile and adult offenders in Shelby County and up to 500 in nearby urban areas tracked by federal programs — Fayette, Tipton and Lauderdale counties and DeSoto County, Miss., and Crittenden County, Ark.

The juvenile program would be voluntary, so the teen and parents would have to agree to participate. If the minors stay out of trouble for one year, the initial gun-possession charge would be erased from their record.

Through the program, the parent would also have to allow random police searches of the teen’s bedroom. If the teen is caught with drugs or another gun, he or she would get kicked out of the program and would face the consequences of violating probation, police said.

Veteran defense attorney James Sanders said the program sounds promising, but he would first want to ensure the parent wouldn’t be blamed if the search yielded a weapon or drugs in the teen’s room.

Scroggs said, based on what he’s seen in Juvenile Court, cuff Links, he’s not sure parents will cooperate with the program.

"The director is trying to prevent a more serious event from occurring and that’s a worthy goal. But the cooperation of the parent would be a key component to the success of a program like this," Scroggs said. "I don’t know yet."

The program would also require the minor to complete 40 hours of community service and attend training, which includes straight talk from a former gang member.

That’s exactly the type of person who stands a chance at getting the kids’ attention, tiffany rings clearance, Memphis police Lt. Roger Nelson said. "The majority are gang members or wannabes," said Nelson, who heads MPD’s Project Safe Neighborhoods unit.

"I think kids will listen to someone who’s seen it and lived it rather than someone in a suit and tie," he said.

Under the Cease-Fire plan, tiffany bangles sale, Nelson’s team would go to area schools to try to convince 10th-grade students that guns only lead to trouble. His team would also talk to the teens on probation to learn where the minors are getting the guns.

"Some of them you’re not going to reach," Nelson said. "But I can assure you, the department will try to reach them all."

Cancer has ravaged several of Ann Aberson’s relatives, tiffany bangles sale, so she doesn’t have a problem with her two teenage daughters wearing bracelets to raise awareness of breast cancer.

But their school principal does.

This week, Baltic High School, just north of here, became one of the latest across the USA to ban the rubber bracelet, tiffany bracelets clearance, which has a message some say is in poor taste: "I love boobies."

The bracelets have caused controversy in schools in states including California, Colorado, Idaho, Florida and Wisconsin. Some districts allow students to wear them inside-out, and others ban them.

"When we had an assembly the first day of school, I basically told the students we are not insensitive to the cause," Baltic High Principal Jim Aisenbrey says. "I think everybody in the gym, including myself, has had a family member or relative or friend who has dealt with the issue. I do think there are more proper ways to bring this plight to the attention of people, rings, and I don’t think this is a proper way."

"I guess I never thought of them as offensive," Aberson says. Her grandmother and five of her grandmother’s sisters battled breast cancer.

The bracelets, which sell for about $4 in stores, were created by Keep A Breast Foundation, a Carlsbad, Calif., non-profit group that seeks to increase breast cancer awareness among young people.

Proceeds from sales support the foundation’s programs, founder Shaney Jo Darden says. She says the bracelets are meant to spark discussions.

"That’s the whole idea, it’s getting people to talk about breast cancer, it’s getting people to share their feelings about how this disease has impacted their life," she says. "The bracelet is doing what it’s meant to do — it’s making people talk."

"Schools banning it? That’s crazy," says Julie Hubbell of Lewisville, tiffany, Texas. Hubbell helped organize an auction and barbeque named "Boobie Q" to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

In the Fresno area, key rings, students in the Clovis Unified School District were told not to wear the bracelets in class — or to turn them inside out so the message is not visible, spokeswoman Kelly Avants says. The school district’s dress code outlaws jewelry with sexually suggestive language or images, she says.

Martin reports for the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls, S.D.
